Changes in Felony Classification Under the New Indiana Criminal Code
Starting on July 1, 2014, the 2013 Criminal Code Revision went into effect. This was the first major overhaul of the Indiana Criminal Code since 1977.
Unless the incident occurred prior to July 1, 2014 all new cases are filed utilizing the updated classification system.
